Which Wich signs up Cardiff franchisee
21 July 2025 | 2 min read

Which Wich, the Texas-founded sandwich brand, has signed its first UK multi-unit franchise agreement with a partner in Cardiff. Breaking Brands Management, led by experienced operator Steve Lewis, will launch the first location in Cardiff. Lewis also owns the franchise rights to Coyote Ugly in the UK, and owns Temple Bar in Cardiff. Following the launch in Cardiff, the franchise business will oversee further openings, overseen by operations manager Chris Young.

Rami Awada, UK master franchisee of Which Which, said: “We’re only just warming up – this is the first of many exciting announcements we’ll be sharing. “Cardiff ticks all the right boxes: diverse, energetic, and full of opportunity. Partnering with a trusted operator like Breaking Brands, we’re set to take Cardiff by storm as we bring our fresh, made-toorder sandwiches to new communities across the country.” Following the brand adaptation and the launch of corporate stores in central London, Which Wich is now expanding its UK presence through franchising, and is seeking experienced single and multi-unit operators. Awada, who has overseen the brand’s UK development since launch, continues to lead the national expansion strategy. Founded in Dallas, Texas in 2003, Which Wich is recognised internationally for its customisable, hot toasted sandwiches, innovative ordering system, health-conscious options, and strong catering and delivery model. The brand operates in multiple countries and is expanding across the UK through targeted franchise partnerships. Speaking to MCA in 2023, the premium sandwich specialist said it was looking to reach the 100site mark within the next six or seven years.
